Ages Of Rock Podcast

Welcome to the Ages of Rock Podcast! We are three guys who have a one thing in common... a love of Rock and Roll. In particular we have an affinity for a band you may have heard of... KISS. Bill and Dennis had this dream of doing a podcast about our love of Rock and Roll. At a Judas Priest show in 2014 Bill introduced Dennis to Allen and we teased the idea of doing a podcast. Allen has done a podcast before and so the Ages of Rock Podcast is now a reality. Our goal is to talk about all things rock not just KISS... We hope you find us intriguing, funny, and occasionally highly opinionated.

Our friend and past guest Curtis Clark recently made a post on Facebook about the evolution of rock bands that caught the attention of Dennis so we invited Curtis to come on the show and talk about his thoughts.

Here's a little taste of his post: "Are we witnessing a new kind of musical evolution?  Think about it...a man starts his own business, it becomes a success. Years later he gets old, his health fades or he dies and the business is passed on to his predecessor."

Stemming from a comment Bill made on a past episode, we decided to do an episode about bands that we just don't dig. That doesn't mean that they're a bad band though, they just don't turn our cranks. We also talk about some of the performances from the recent M3 Festival.

This week it happens that Bill is in town on business so we all decided to see how an episode recorded in Dennis' house would go. Here it is. We spend our time skimming videos that Dennis recorded to his DVR from a few recent episodes of MTV Classic's Metal Mayhem and commenting on the videos and the artists. Yeah, we know, Beavis & Butthead already did that. Anyway, let us know what you thought of the format. Please share the link to this episode with your friends and enemies.

This episode isn't really a fiasco, we just felt like calling it that. We haven't done an episode of us just chatting about random stuff in a while so we thought it was as good a time as any. Enjoy!

The Wrecking Crew is a 2008 documentary film that covers the story of the Los Angeles-based group of session musicians known as the Wrecking Crew, famed for having played on numerous hit recordings throughout the 1960s. Filmmaker and producer Denny Tedesco talks about the putting the documentary together and his highs and lows throughout the journey. One person described this movie as "musician porn" and after this interview, we would agree. This has been a long time in the making and worth every second.

Allen's wife Laura also gives her review of the Bon Jovi concert in Nashville, TN on February 18, 2017.

You can buy the Wrecking Crew DVD at www.wreckingcrewfilm.com and use the code AGESOFROCK to get a discount on the movie and anything else in the store.
